Aur yeh prarthana karni padti ki koi bada producer baitha hua ho darshakon mein jo aapse itna prabhaavit ho taaki woh aapko ek mauka de sake.

Par ab aisa nahi.

Aaj, music production ka trend jyada aur jyada home studios ki taraf badh raha hai.

Aap aur mere jaise logon dwara bedrooms, garages aur basements mein achha sangeet banaya ja raha hai har samaya…

Aksar sirf ek computer, USB mic, kuch headphones aur thodi hi kuch cheezon ke saath.

Ek gaana record kijiye, usse online post kijiye, aur usse viral hota dekhiye…aur aap raaton-raat mushhoor ho gaye.

Jabki yeh utna ASAAN nahi, yeh utna SARAL hai.

Poori performances single takes mein li jaati thi, kabhi-kabaar sirf ek ya do mics ke saath.

Par aaj, hum multitrack recording jaise sophisticated process ka istemaal karte hai…

Jahan har instrument alag-alag record kiya jaata hai aur baad mein ek “mix” mein joda jaata hai.

Ismein do BADE phayede hai:

  1. Isse engineers har ek upkaran ki awaaz ki chaal dhaal ko badal sakte hai.
  2. Har upkaran ko ek gaane mein record kar sakte hai, ek baar mein ek.

Iss naye tareeke ke saath, ek aadmi woh sab akela kar sakta hai, jiske liye pehle engineers aur sangeetkaaron ki poori team lagti thi.

2. Rhythm Section Ko Record kare

3. Harmonies ko record kare

4. Melodies Record Kare

Kyunki jyadatar gaane upkaranon ka mishran istemaal karte hain ek melody banane ke liye…

Matlab banta hai ki jo bhi jyada dominant ho (aam taur par lead vocals/lead guitar) pehle record hote hai.

Aur phir baad mein, aap antaraal bhar sakte hai supporting melodies ke saath.

5. Rang Daalna

Apne gaanon mein finishing touches daalne ke liye, aap apne ‘main’ tracks mein woh thode nuances daal sakte hai thode rang aur flare ke liye.

  • piano fills
  • sampled sound effects

Sab Kuch Akele Nahi Kar Sakte?

Dusra Kadam: Editing ka Process

Audio Editing Process ka SpashtikaranAb jab aapne apne tracks ki recording khatam kar li, kaam aa gaya hai inhe saaf karne ka.

Aaj ke DAW’s ke shaandaar editing tools ke saath.

Aam taur par, editing 5 aam kaaryon ke saath bani hai:

  1. Arrangement
  2. Comping
  3. Noise Reduction
  4. Time Editing
  5. Pitch Editing

Arrangement ke saath, aap sab kuch kulmilkar dekh sakte hai, evaluate karne ke liye, kya kaam karta hai aur kya nahi.

Udhaaran ke liye, aap:

  • poore tracks delete kar sakte hai jinka koi matlab nahi banta 
  • tracks ke unn sections ko kaat sakte hai jo mix ko clutter karte hai 
  • ek section ko gaane ke kisi naye bhaag mein hata sakte hai
  • gaane ke poore sections ko delete kar sakte hai 

Comping ke saath, aap har track ke duplicate takes ki tulna kar sakte hai, aur jo sabse achhe ho unhe chunn sakte hai. Agar aapko pasand ho, aap har take se sabse achhe phrases le sakte hai aur unn sab ko ek “frankenstein-take” mein bana sakte hai. (Frankenstein take ka maltab, jaise tukdon mein gaana silna).

Noise reduction ke saath, aap audio ke har section ke pehle, baad aur beech ki awaazon ko cut kar sakte hai jahan upkaran bajaye ja rahe hai.

Iska matlab hai nikalna:

  • background awaazein
  • amp ki hissing
  • footsteps
  • kursi ki chu-chu
  • saasein 
  • ya phir sirf sunn hava

Aur shor ko kam karne ke liye, aap ek high-pass filter daal sakte hai lower frequency range ke non-bass upkaranon mein, gadgadati awaazon ko hatane ke liye.

Time editing ke saath, aap off-beat notes ko theek kar sakte hai, inn do tareekon ka istemaal karke:

  • “Cut aur paste” tareeka hai, jo achha kaam karta hai percussive upkaranon par.

Audio Mixing ka SpashtikaranEk baar jab tracks aapke hisaab se theek ho gaye hai…

Agla lakshya hai ki unhe ek sammillit mix daalein…”mixing” ke process ke saath.

Jabki mixing apne aap mein hi ek kala hai, yeh kai tareekon mein ki ja sakta hai…

Kuch vishisht buniyaadi kaam jo sabhi karte hai…

Sadhaaran udhaaron mein shaamil:

  1. Balancing Faders – jo kiya jaata hai taaki koi bhi upkaran dusre upkaranon ki tulna mein jyada uncha ya jyada dheema na sunayi de.
  2. Panning – jo har upkaran ko apne khud ki jagah deta hai stereo-image mein, jaise ki har sangeetkaar ke paas apni khud ki jagah hoti hai on-stage.
  3. Equalization – jo ek anokhi jagah banata hai frequency spectrum mein har upkaran ke liye, taaki koi bhi do awaazien ek samaan band of frequencies ke liye na ladd rahi ho.
  4. Compression – jo ek upkaran ke dynamic range ko level out karta hai taaki har note saaf sunayi de, aur kulmilakar mix unchi sunayi de.

Ya “bounced“, jaise ki yeh aam taur par jaana jaata hai.

Ek baar jab yeh ho gaya, kai mastering techniques istemaal ki jaati hai aapke gaane par finishing touches daalne ke liye…

Aam takhneekon mein shaamil:

Frequencies ki Balancing – aur EQ ke saath, aur multi-band compression ke saath, jo individual frequency bands ko alag-alag compress kar sakti hai baaki spectrum se. through further EQ, and a process known as multi-band compression, which can compress individual frequency bands separately from the rest of the spectrum.
  3. Stereo Widening – ek khaas plugin ke saath, jo design kiya gaya hai aapki mix ki higher frequencies ko ek “chaudayi” ehsaas ko daalne ke liye.  with a special plugin designed to add an additional sense of “width” to the higher frequencies in your mix.

Ek baar jab sab kuch perfect sunayi deta hai, track uske uchit sample rate/bit depth par convert kiya jaata hai. Udhaaran ke liye, CD audio 44.1 kHz/16 Bits hoti hai.

Khud kare ya Outsource kare?

Agar saral shabdon mein kaha jaaye, toh mastering mushkil hai. Aur agar aapko nahi pata aap kya kar rahe hai, aap asaani se cheezon aur kharaab kar sakte hai, achha karne ki bajay.

Aur isiliye mix engineers ki standard practice hai yeh kaam outsource karna “mastering engineer” ko, khud karne ke bajay.
